Title: Parts Organizer, Customer Service, and Service Writing Assistant
Direct Supervisor: Sheli Potmesil, Business Manager and Troy Hatler, Technical Manager
Hours: Starting at Part Time, approximately 24 hours per week: 10am-4pm Tues-Fri & 10am-3pm Sat. Can grow to Full Time 40 hours per week 8am-6pm Tues – Fri & 10am – 3pm Sat. Closed some holidays. No vacation is allowed April through August. Schedule is subject to seasonal changes. Aqua Tech usually closes for approximately 2 weeks each winter (starting around Dec 15).
Pay range: Starting at $17-20/hour, depending on experience. Advancement opportunities—could expand to Full Time.

Duties:
Parts receiving and inventory: Assist with keeping track of parts for counter sales, repair jobs & stock inventory as needed. Duties include: checking in parts deliveries & making sure the deliveries are correct, placing parts received with their corresponding repair jobs, picking parts for repair jobs, creating labels/displays for parts to go on our retail shelves, cross-referencing part numbers among the many different manufacturers & software programs, tracking and counting inventory for repair jobs and stock, monitoring the status of shipments of parts orders, copying parts orders and putting the order paperwork in the appropriate places, keeping all parts paperwork updated, calling customers, etc.
Customer service assistance: Answer phones as needed, handle customer calls, direct calls as needed, and take messages. Greet customers if they enter the store. Help customers with sales transactions, scheduling, check-in, and check-out. Look up boat parts for customers as needed – the Full Time position will spend more time on this.
Service writing assistance: Use our specialized software program to enter notes on customer repair orders & estimates. The Full Time position will spend more time on, and be more proficient with this part of the job. Will take mechanic's notes and modify them into industry-standard language for the customer. Look up parts as needed. Create and organize repair orders and estimate for customers.
Other: Assist with paperwork such as filing, collating, tabulating, as needed. Assist in regular cleaning of boats, store, repair shop, storage, and yard areas. Use your own personal, registered & insured car to run very occasional errands. With our instruction, learn how to move boats with our two forklifts. Other tasks & projects as necessary.

Skills: Must be extremely detail-oriented, organized & focused. Accuracy & thorough work extremely important. Friendly, excellent customer service skills essential. Must be able to learn quickly, work independently, & be able to assess when it is appropriate to update supervisor or seek guidance. Must be proficient typist to enter notes quickly & accurately. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word & Publisher helpful. Familiarity with boats/boat engines helpful. Must be willing to learn about boats/boat engines, including independent home study – this is absolutely essential for the Full Time position. Must be good at spelling & grammar. Must be flexible, i.e. willing to do many different types of tasks. Attendance & punctuality is essential. Must maintain clean, professional appearance at all times. Must have a reliable, registered & insured vehicle. This is a retail/repair shop environment; there is some standing, some walking, some lifting, and some sitting for computer work.

Uniform requirement: Solid dark-color pants appropriate for interaction with the public and comfortable for cleaning duties. For example, pants such as Dickies work pants. Aqua Tech will provide Aqua Tech T-shirts. No open-toe shoes. Shoes appropriate for long periods of standing & walking.
