Warehouse Supervisor

  • Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for upcoming Warehouse Supervisor opportunities for our customer in Aiken, SC at the Savannah River Site.

    Position Overview

    Provide supervisory level oversight for operation of the MAC warehouses and storage facilities. Help coordinate MAC employee’s functions that prioritize issuing/maintaining/replenishing warehouse stock, kitting materials, ensuring customer needs are met, and ensure those duties are performed in a safe, professional, and efficient manner. Ensure customers objectives and expectations with staffing, ordering/maintaining/storage of parts & materials, inventory management/control, environmental and safety compliance are met or surpassed. Duties also include ensuring these duties are performed in a manner that prevents unsafe work execution, stops observed unsafe acts, and recommends safety enhancements to the benefit of the safety and productivity of the MAC team.

    • Strong computer experience, ideally with Microsoft products, FMTS and Puridiom software.
    • MUST be very flexible with shift start times as well as days worked, including weekends & holidays.
    • Must thrive in fast pace environment with sense of urgency, open door communication style and ability to generate new ideas.
    • Must model respect, teamwork, a positive attitude and safety consciousness that are essential to this role.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
    • Demonstrate excellent job performance in productivity, quality, safety, and attendance
    • Provide the customer with an experience that will always be remembered and with the highest level of responsiveness.
    • Ensure relationship with customer progresses seamlessly without interruption of parts and materials to our customer.
    • Ensure inventory is managed per customer and Site procedures.
    • Attend meetings with customer MAC customer.
    • Responsible for the safety of all MAC personnel and for the security of the facility.
    • When necessary, take disciplinary action to maintain safe, healthy, and efficient workplace.
    • Evaluate overall personnel and process performance and identify means of improvements and/or resolve personnel or process problems.
    • Responsible for training and development of subordinate personnel.
    • Ensure facility is operated in such a manner that will maximize parts and material availability and minimize cost.
    • Ensure all general housekeeping goals are met.
    • Successfully participate in on- or off-the-job training as required.
    • Be available to work rotating shifts as needed to ensure shift coverage responsibilities are met.
    • Acquire and maintain any licenses/certifications required by Site, State, or Federal regulations to perform job duties.
    • Responsible to maintain confidentiality of all information available to the position.
    • Ensure the contractual requirements are met through compliance of U&E MAC Worker Protection Plan, Site Procedures, as well as State and Federal Environmental Regulations, OSHA and the documentation, thereof.
    • Make corrections/adjustments to logsheets.
    • Perform all duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate manager to this position, but not specifically stated in this description.
    • Ensure MAC is adequately staffed 24/7, including coverage for employee PTO, adverse weather conditions, deaths in family, etc.

    Essential U&E Job Functions

    • Approve timesheets bi-weekly
    • Approve and track MAC employees PTO through ADP
    • Submit and maintain propane and gas receipts
    • Annual employee evaluations
    • Issue monthly Fire Extinguisher Inspection forms
    • Issue monthly Fire Extinguisher/First Aid Kit/Biohazard Kit Inspection forms
    • Two focused observations/week (at least one forklift FO)
    • Perform monthly inspection of vehicle and mileage log
    • Ensure a facilitator has been delegated for each Daily Safety Meeting and attended by each MAC employee

    Requirements

    • CPR/First Aid Trained
    • OSHA 36 Hour Occupational Safety and Health Supervisor Trained
    • Have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
    • Required to have strong computer skills
    • Must be able to personally respond to facility emergencies as needed.
    • Scheduled and unscheduled overtime is required.
    • Must be available to work a flexible schedule to help meet staffing needs.
    • Must be physically capable of climbing stairs and ladders.
    • Must be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. of weight.
    • Must have eyesight corrected to 20/40 to accurately read and interpret instruments and gauges.
    • Must be physically capable to work a rotating shift schedule.
    • Must be physically capable to hear and understand audible alarms.
    • Must be able to work in a physically demanding role. The work involves long hours standing and bending.
    • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold temperatures) and inclement weather conditions
    • Must be a U.S. citizen.
    • Must obtain and maintain a general SRS Site access badge.
    • Must possess a valid state’s driver’s license.
    • Pass pre-employment physical including drug/alcohol screening.
    • Obtain and maintain a property pass prior to transporting government owned or leased property offsite or in a private vehicle onsite.
