To be a Technical Writing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. - Coordinates with the Troy University Development Office on all fund-raising projects, and the Office of Sponsored Programs for all grants prior to submitting proposals to gain their support and to prevent conflicts regarding funding and grant requests.
- Ensures all gifts and donations to the Museum are acknowledged to donors and ensure appropriate recognitions are initiated.
- Submits timely reports and documentation as required on grants and donations from individuals and organizations, while maintaining close communications with the Office of Sponsored Programs and the Development Office.
- Coordinate with the Rosa Parks Museum Director of Operations and the Vice Chancellor on all potential grants and funding requests prior to submission of formal requests.
- Attend events, conferences and other social functions as needed to develop “Friends of the Rosa Parks Museum” and “Friends of Troy University”.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by the Rosa Parks Museum Operations Director and/or the Campus Vice Chancellor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or related fields.
- At least three years experience working in management positions.
