If you're a Technical Accounting Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you.This position reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller and is responsible for managing the Company's compliance with U.S. GAAP, as applicable. This position will leverage your technical accounting expertise and will work closely with other Finance and cross functional team members to ensure that the Company's financial reporting is complete and accurate. This position will monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations and lead the way in updating the Company's Global Finance Policies, as necessary. You will be engaged in critical accounting matters and may also participate in due diligence, post-acquisition activities, and other special projects. This position offers diversified experience and potential for growth opportunities.
What You Will Be Doing
Ensure appropriate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls are maintained to enable the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the U.S. (U.S. GAAP) and ensure consistency across the organization.
Perform technical accounting research andensure the effective application and resolution of complex technical accounting issues, as well as the implementation of new guidance.
Document accounting positions that meet auditor requirements and business needs.
Provide guidance to others on the effective application of accounting principles, policies, and procedures.
Actively pursue opportunities for improvement in accounting processes and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
Support internal and external audits to ensure timely completion and accuracy of financial statements.
Oversee various companywide accounting processes, such as the application of purchase accounting, amortization of intangible assets, determination of actuarial-based costs and accruals, and perform impairment tests for goodwill and other long-lived assets.
Provide accounting support for business development activities, including due diligence, accounting treatment, and integration of financial systems.
Participate in special projects as needed, such as system implementations or process improvements.
Assist with SEC reporting on an as-needed basis.
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor's degree in accounting or, alternatively, a bachelor's degree in a related field such as finance or economics provided that sufficient credit hours in accounting were obtained to sit for the CPA examination
CPA-designation required
Minimum 7 years experience in accounting required, with minimum of three years technical accounting experience preferred
Experience in complex international manufacturing or production industry required
Strong understanding of US GAAP required
