Title – Finance Controller/HR
Location – 100% Onsite in Northport Alabama
Duration – Permanent role
Pay Range: $125,000-130,000K.
This role is instrumental in supporting the manufacturing operations in both the finance and human resource functions. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to work with the local operations and larger finance team to improve processes and to grow within a company. This is a mid-level position with a salaried pay structure.
Your Impact
Oversee the local accounting functions including cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and payroll.
Support financial controls to meet statutory compliance and integrity of data and statements at the local level.
Manage, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, the performance of local team members and the day-to-day office activities.
Oversight and management of human resources for the location including assistance with employee matters, recruiting on-boarding and off-boarding, compliance tasks and payroll/benefits management.
Advise on annual budget with CFO, provide support to plant managers and hold plant managers accountable for the process.
Analyze monthly financial performance looking for areas of concern or improvement, including expenses, costs, inventory levels, plant efficiency, etc.
Reviewing month-end close process and reporting tasks including variance analyses
Management of inventory counts
Oversight over year-end compliance audits
Continuous opportunity to improve processes and efficiencies.
Interacting with management, customers, and vendors
Perform additional tasks as required by the needs of the company.

Your Experience/Requirements of the Role
Post secondary education with a business accounting focus
Minimum 5-10 years of accounting experience
Proven ability to lead accounting processes and functions
Accounting systems experience is an asset
Proven ability to manage employees and navigate employee concerns
Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret financial results and deliver process improvements
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management skills, and work with high levels of autonomy and self-direction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Pay Range: $125,000-130,000K
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
