Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing personalized instruction to students in various subjects and helping them achieve their academic goals. This is a part-time position with flexible hours.
Responsibilities:
This is a part-time position that is typically 20-30 hours per week.
Teachers will work with a group of 9-10 students all of the same grade level.
Teachers will be in charge of teaching subjects ranging from math, problem solving, language arts, reading comprehension, and writing. Teachers will not be required to teach all of these subjects, and can let us know their strengths and preferences.
Teachers will be expected to help students with their school homework and assign enrichment work.
Teachers need to grade students' HW assignments and enrichment work diligently.
Teachers will be required to have creative writing teaching skills.
Teachers should be able to guide students through their growth and development as writers of short stories, screenplays, poetry, prose and novels.
Qualifications:
You are able to work between 2:00 pm- 7:00 pm. ( Monday - Friday).There is opportunity for overtime with the addition of private tutoring.
You are detail oriented, charismatic, reliable, friendly, and good with children.
You have your own reliable transportation to and from work.
You are fully vaccinated.
Experience:
Experience working with elementary and middle school students is preferred but not required.
Experience working with groups of children is also preferred but not required.
