Position Overview: We are looking for a Service Writer with a passion for the RV industry and a commitment to exceptional customer service. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking RV maintenance and repair services. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive timely and high-quality service, while also assisting our service department in managing appointments, work orders, and communication with technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers promptly, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns or issues professionally and empathetically.
• Service Scheduling: Schedule service appointments for RV maintenance and repairs, coordinating with customers and technicians to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
• Work Order Creation: Create accurate and detailed work orders based on customer descriptions and technician assessments, including all necessary information such as parts, labor, and estimated completion times.
• Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers throughout the service process, providing updates on the status of their RV repairs and estimated completion times.
• Billing and Invoicing: Prepare and review invoices for completed services, ensuring accuracy in pricing and parts used.
• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining an organized inventory of RV parts and accessories, placing orders as needed, and keeping track of stock levels.
• Quality Control: Conduct final inspections on completed work to ensure that all services meet our quality standards before returning the RVs to customers.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of customer interactions, service orders, and invoices, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with service technicians and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and resolve any service-related issues or challenges.
• Up-selling: Identify opportunities to recommend additional services or products to customers, enhancing their RV experience.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Service Writer, preferably in the automotive or RV industry.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of RV systems, maintenance, and repair terminology is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in software for scheduling and invoicing.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
