Overview
Collaborates with stakeholders to
identify process document needs. Researches and analyzes regulations, policies
and other requirements and applies to standards and processes. Works with
stakeholders to research processes and determine how best to document. Creates,
and publishes specifications, standards, work practices and procedural
documentation with established deadlines. Determines best way to ensure
documents meet corporate style guide requirements. Maintains content on various
channels. Will support documentation of procedures for risk management
compliance within the Power Operations Team, IT, and Electric & Gas Trading
Group.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in technical writing,
journalism or other related field or equivalent experience
· 2 – 5 years’ experience in technical writing,
corporate communications with a technical element or related field. Advanced
skills in written communications
· Strong knowledge of principles and practices in
communication; grammar, spelling, and style; as well as processes and
procedures
· Ability to work long hours (40-50 per week);
work a variable schedule; and adhere to set response times, deadlines, and
time-sensitive tasks
· Must be able to consistently meet attendance
standards for regular, reliable, predictable, and full-time attendance
· Willing to work in a collaborative environment, do
white-boarding, and is a self-starter who can ask a lot of questions for
clarification and be able to speak up.
· Previous utilities experience a plus
