Technical Training Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Being a Technical Training Manager manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Technical Training Manager assesses and manages any contractors utilized to deliver specialized training. May manage IT, product, or equipment training depending on the industry and setting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an director. The Technical Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Technical Training Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     TECHNICAL TRAINING MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Accountabilities:

    • Travel to sites to deliver technical training on Robotics equipment and assets
    • Learn the company’s equipment and analyze the technical skills required by operators.
    • Develop and maintain technical training content and deliverables.
    • Create training modules for equipment/machinery processes.
    • Create and develop a robust on the job equipment training program for new hires/new promotions.
    • Allocate and establish a training room at each facility equipped with simulation, classroom set up and testing capabilities.
    • Plan and direct classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer-aided instructional technologies, simulators, conferences and workshops.
    • Develop a certification/testing process tied to job levels and tiers which allows the training and testing of employees to support progression to higher levels.
    • Assess training needs and certification requirements.
    • Administer Learning management system (LMS) tasks such as schedule sessions, register participants and instructor resources.
    • Mentor technicians by motivating, providing guidance and directions to help them achieve their goals.
    • Provide enriched feedback to enhance individual performance.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree – Preferably in Engineering or related field
    • 5 years of Technical Instructor/Trainer experience working within manufacturing and with high tech robotic equipment
    • Training program development experience
    • Ability to travel to AMTB sites without restriction

    Note: This role can be based anywhere in Canada or the US. As part of the job, the incumbent will be traveling to the various locations (Woodstock, Concord, Detroit, Silao) approx. 75% of the time and working from home for the rest of the time.
