Technical Training Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Being a Technical Training Manager manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Technical Training Manager assesses and manages any contractors utilized to deliver specialized training. The Training Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategy, management, and administration of Group14’s manufacturing training programs. This role establishes long range training plans in support of manufacturing goals, as well as managing workshops, new training initiatives, information sessions. May manage training delivery specialists or outside vendors. This person is a role model for our company Core Values, who demonstrates expertise in our core manufacturing processes, our products as well as in the areas of training delivery and design.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
-Leads, plans and directs training programs to support Group14’s manufacturing and operational objectives. This includes comprehensive curriculum and associated measurement standards for all manufacturing floor roles.
-Responsible for content and curriculum development or overseeing vendor/consultant production of material to meet Group14’s standards and objectives.
-Develop and maintain a coherent vision for the Training function by identifying additional resource needs, writing clear and pragmatic program plans, coordinating implementation, and building required partnerships.
-Collaborate with department leadership to determine training needs within each group.
-Manage the communications and implementation strategies for training initiatives.
-Develop long/short-term team development plans.
-Scale up employee training programs as the Company grows.
-Develop metrics and align training program to meet established goals.
-Design plug and play curriculum to be used for future manufacturing sites.
-Follow-up with department leaders and provide recommendations for improvement on a regular cadence.
-Experience with course evaluations and assessing effectiveness of training content and delivery.
-Ability to manage resources and outside vendors/consultants as needed to design, develop, deliver and maintain all training required for the manufacturing teams.
-Maintain all training completion records, provide reporting, and maintain training compliance as needed.
-Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule to assist in meeting the learning needs of off-shift workers during their regularly scheduled work times.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
-Bachelor's Degree (Communications, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or other related field) or 5 years equivalent work experience.
-3 years designing training content (instructional design) preferred.
-Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory, with an ability to deliver complex content in an engaging way.
-Experience in training delivery via a variety of modes (in-person/classroom style, e-learning, etc.)
-5 years of applicable experience in a manufacturing environment.
-Ability to successfully interface with internal and external partners.
-Knowledge of and experience with an LMS (Learning Management System) and other instructional design technologies such as SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model).
-Possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly, and display respect with a desire to foster teamwork.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills, extremely organized.

The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
