Technical Training Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Being a Technical Training Manager manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Technical Training Manager assesses and manages any contractors utilized to deliver specialized training. May manage IT, product, or equipment training depending on the industry and setting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an director. The Technical Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Technical Training Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Technical Training Specialist

  • onsemi is seeking a Technical Training Specialist (Trainer) to support the Hudson, New Hampshire manufacturing SiC site. This is a hands-on interfacing position that will help lead the effort in creating, developing, implementing, and presenting the local technical training curriculum both for new hires and current employees. This position will report directly to the Training Manager.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide on-the-job training to new hires and existing employees in a production manufacturing setting
      • The right candidate will be as comfortable performing this type of work as the technicians they will be training.
    • Designs curriculum, training, and delivery of presentations either instructor led or online.
    • Evaluates current training programs to further skills and knowledge to the site’s employees.
    • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
    • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
    • Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
    • Performs administrative functions in corporate Learning Management System (SabaCloud).
    • Other duties as needed or assigned.
    Qualifications


    Requirements
    :

    • High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
    • 3 years of technical experience in a production or R&D manufacturing environment.
    • 2 years of team development or training.
    • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Instructional, analytical, and creativity skills to present materials to the targeted audience.
    • Strong interpersonal skills required for presenting and collaborating.
    • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work.
    • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
    • Comfortable multi-tasking in a dynamic engineering and manufacturing environment, working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work second shift from 2:00pm-11:00pm, Monday - Friday, to support training employees on shift.
