Technical Training Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Being a Technical Training Manager manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Technical Training Manager assesses and manages any contractors utilized to deliver specialized training. May manage IT, product, or equipment training depending on the industry and setting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an director. The Technical Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Technical Training Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Description
    Provide Collision Repair and Refinish training to technicians and/or OEM personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience with collision instruction as well as curriculum development. Instructor will be provided study materials, instructional guide and student materials for each class. They will be in a classroom approx. 3 weeks of the month instructing 4 to 8 students during one or two day sessions. They will train OEM Technicians on paint and body repair procedures including welding. Minimal travel to other facilities as needed. The candidate will support and manage the facility which includes prepping the classrooms, ordering supplies, and overall management of the facility.

    Requirements:
    • 2 years or more of related Curriculum Development experience is required
    • 2 years minimum Collision Repair knowledge with Toyota or Lexus product experience preferred
    • Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills
    • Proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Power Point and a functional knowledge of data mining and internet research
    • Experience with E-learning creation module software, Articulate preferred
    • 2 years or more of related instructor experience is required
