Technical Training Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Being a Technical Training Manager manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Technical Training Manager assesses and manages any contractors utilized to deliver specialized training. May manage IT, product, or equipment training depending on the industry and setting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an director. The Technical Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Technical Training Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities:
    • Collaborating with production teams and fellow engineers to ensure the successful completion of projects, aligning with established specifications.
    • Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical design plans and work schedules to maintain project accuracy.
    • Building and fostering relationships with production managers, vendors, suppliers, and professionals to expand collaborative networks.
    • Enhancing existing engineering processes with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
    • Participating in conferences, events, and networking opportunities to stay abreast of industry trends and innovations.
    • Analyzing current processes and proactively scheduling meetings to propose and discuss equipment improvement initiatives.
    • Conducting diagnostics and troubleshooting equipment issues, contributing to effective problem resolution.
    • Assisting in recruitment, training, and onboarding processes to cultivate a skilled and cohesive team.
    • Promoting a safe and positive work environment for the engineering team.
    • Designing and modifying control and instrumentation circuits to optimize functionality.
    • Supporting and maintaining production equipment and utilities related to electrical controls and instrumentation challenges.
    • Modifying software and hardware for PLC-based control systems, including those from Allen-Bradley, Omron, Automation Direct, and Mitsubishi.
    • Maintaining and preparing PM and calibration systems and associated documentation.
    • Coordinating the design, fabrication, and installation of new production equipment.
    • Supporting safety functions such as Risk Assessments and implementing necessary modifications.
    • Utilizing computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment for efficient task execution.
    • Demonstrating a profound understanding of working with motors, scales, web handling, thermocouples, and sensors.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor"s degree in electrical engineering is required.
    • Minimum 3 years" experience in industrial applications experience in related fields; instrumentation, control, and power distribution systems; and/or an equivalent combination of education and
    • experience.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Practical experience with CAD software is required.
