Technical Training Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Being a Technical Training Manager manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Technical Training Manager assesses and manages any contractors utilized to deliver specialized training. May manage IT, product, or equipment training depending on the industry and setting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an director. The Technical Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Technical Training Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The Technical Application Training Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development of new products, leading technical hands-on training around the business both internally and externally. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to create training materials, improve individual and organizational performance towards all products, and perform hands-on and informational presentations about products offered by the company. Technical paint application skills and experience is mandatory. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing team in varied recreational industries. 

    PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. (Other duties may be assigned)

    1. Conducting hands-on training sessions and assessing trainees on their knowledge.  
    2. Inspect and analyze application environments and paint procedures for root cause analysis.
    3. Maintain positive business relationships with industry partnerships.
    4. Develop/maintain training content for products and processes.
    5. Develop/maintain supplementary training including reading material and exercises. 
    6. Deliver training content through various channels/ mediums. 
    7. Create training programs to address skill gaps in employees and customers.
    8. Provide training to applicators and service writers at professional boatyards.
    9. Provide additional guidance or coaching to trainees who need it. 
    10.  Attend and network at industry trade shows and event.
    QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience and Education Required

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Associate degree preferred.
    • Bi-lingual preferred (English and Spanish)
    • 7-10 years of previous product coating application experience in marine, industrial or automotive industry.
    • Experience with professional spray application equipment and HSE.
    • Strong oral communication and coaching skills.
    • Strong organizational skills
