Lectures on the safety, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of software, machinery, and equipment. Additionally, Technical Trainer, Sr. administers written and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainees' performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an manager. The Technical Trainer, Sr. work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Job Description


    The Technical/Sales Trainer will be responsible to educate our Sales, Application Engineers and our Customers on our products and services. The Technical/Sales Trainer will develop Technical and Sales training programs based on our latest products and programming environments.

    The candidate must be knowledgeable in servo drives and Motion Control/PLC programming focusing on Factory Automation. Additionally, the candidate is expected to be able to train our sales organization on our product’s unique selling points and competitive advantages in the marketplace.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop technical training programs
    • Develop Sales training programs
    • Produce training schedules and classroom agenda
    • Determine course content according to objectives
    • Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets, demonstrations, etc.)
    • Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually
    • Arrange for and conduct on-site training when needed
    • Manage demo units used in training courses
    • Report data on students completed courses, attendance, classroom issues etc.
    • Observe and evaluate results of training programs
    • Determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in a relevant technical field
    • 5 years programming PLC and Motion Controls
    • Sales experience in a relevant field
    • Proven experience as a technical trainer
    • Experience in designing technical course content
    • Ability to address training needs with complete courses
    • Working knowledge in MS Office
    • Outstanding communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Travel 30%
