We are seeking a skilled and passionate Technical Trainer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing, documenting, and delivering technical training programs to technicians, operators, and engineers. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the technical skills and knowledge of our stakeholders, ensuring they can effectively run our processes. This is an exciting opportunity to train others on novel processes that will allow the efficient production of a ground-breaking battery!
This opportunity is based out of Form Energy's Weirton, WV facility. Relocation assistance is available.
Develop curriculum and content, incorporating it into training materials (manuals, presentations, e-learning modules, and hands-on exercises) that meet the needs of various audiences, particularly those assembling products
Deliver in-person or virtual training for employees, ensuring training methods accommodate different learning styles
Evaluate and improve effectiveness of training sessions and track trainee progress
Create and update documentation, often with revision control
Continuously enhance your technical training expertise by developing your understanding of the subject matter and staying current with emerging trends and updates in the field
Demonstrate proper assembly techniques, equipment usage, and troubleshooting procedures, working closely with subject matter experts across engineering disciplines
Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, audits, and feedback mechanisms
Integrate safety protocols and compliance guidelines into training programs to ensure a safe working environment
5 years’ experience in the training field or related area as a Technical Trainer (or related role); experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools is a plus
5 years’ experience in Process, Quality, and 5S audits
Experience with developing and maintaining training standard across multiple shifts
Experience in breaking down complex processes into Core skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to project manage multiple training initiatives
Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic about teaching technical concepts
Experience with technical support or customer service
Familiarity with adult learning principles
Availability to work shifts on an as-needed basis to accommodate the scheduling requirements of different trainee groups
Familiarity with document control best practices and repository systems
