    The Technical Trainer- Glass will invest time into developing, certifying, and advancing our technicians with industry- leading tools and products. As the Technical Trainer - Glass you will support in the design and development of new training initiatives as well as deliver technical training in windshield repair and auto glass replacement to new and existing franchisees. The Technical Trainer – Glass may be called to assist in the implementation of new Glass franchisees as well as offer guidance to franchisees on territory development and management.

    Job Duties

    • Provide technical training in windshield repair and auto glass replacement using adult learning principles
    • Assist in the development of new Regional Training Centre in the profession of auto glass repair and replacement, flat glass replacement, auto body repair, auto mechanical repair and other automotive aftermarket services.
    • Participate and be responsible for the apprenticeship program training certification.
    • Provide training and support for franchisee locations as requested.
    • Support in the implementation of new Franchisees
    • Design and develop materials for various technical and non -technical training
    • Participate in industry outreach events and conferences as needed
    • Perform training needs analysis by assessing the skill level, performance, and competence of each learner
    • Keep up to date with latest materials, teaching aids and training techniques relevant to the trade
    • Prepare and conduct validation activities, exams, and formal training evaluation and make recommendations based on results
    • Ensure training records are maintained and kept up to date
    • Other duties as assigned


    Requirements

    • At least 5 years of experience in Auto Glass Replacement, Flat Glass Replacement, Auto Body Repair, Automotive Mechanical Repair, Automotive Aftermarket and/or any combination of the above.
    • Master Auto Glass Technician certification preferred
    • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Experience in training and development is an asset
    • Knowledge of franchise development an asset


    Work Conditions

    • Travel within the US, and at times Internationally will be required
    • Ability to attend and conduct presentations
