Technical Support Supervisor leads a team that provides technical customer support for an organization's products and services. Acts as first level escalation point for more complex or critical customer issues and inquiries. Being a Technical Support Supervisor possesses broad knowledge of the organization's products and services, and extensive experience handling customer inquiries. Mentors and coaches team on troubleshooting, solution development, and customer communication best practices. Additionally, Technical Support Supervisor monitors work queues to ensure adequate coverage and to meet service level standards. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Technical Support Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Technical Support Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join our team in beautiful Goleta, California. You will be responsible for providing helpful technical assistance to our customers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and answering any questions they might have. We're looking for someone with a strong customer service background and problem-solving abilities, as well as technical knowledge of hardware and software. If you have the necessary skills and experience, we want to hear from you!

    Compensation:

    $22 - $26 hourly

    Responsibilities:

    • Make outbound calls to provide customers with technical assistance
    • Respond professionally to incoming email inquiries regarding technical support
    • Manage tickets in the team's internal ticket system
    • Work with the team to meet daily and monthly performance goals, including properly formatting and closing tickets
    • Attend the site on a regular and predictable basis to fulfill job requirements
    • Prior experience is preferred for this entry-level position
    • All candidates must pass a telephone interview before proceeding to an in-person interview

    SKILLS


    • Must be familiar with networking fundamentals including but not limited to; DSL, VOIP, Ethernet, wireless, email, switching, routing, IP addresses, patch panel, DEMARC, PING, trace routes
    • Must have proper phone etiquette and present themselves in a professional manner
    • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex networking infrastructures
    • Knowledge of network and internet security
