Multilink - is looking for an experienced individual with working knowledge of Telecommunications operation and Fiber Experience. The
Fiber Technical Support Tech is responsible for working closely with the sales team, Engineering, and customers to identify market trends and provide sound business solutions for the Telecommunications Industry. Provide department training for related Fiber Optic products and/or assist with Engineering of such products or solution for the Telecommunications industry. Work closely with department heads or CEO to provide updates, reports or other department functions as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Identify plant applications with the sales team and customers
• Make weekly call reports in making product work with applications
• Provide quotes to customers, including large project RFQs
• Identify products that the sales team can sell to the market
• Identify market trends where new and existing products can be utilized
• Provide field training to customers, the sales department, and the sales team
• Travel is required, 25% to 50% monthly.
• Coordinate trips with the sales team. International travel may be required
• Interact with customers, either via phone, Face time/Skype, or on-site
• Bundle Multilink products in sales
• Work with Engineering to design, change, or update existing product
• Submit expense reports for travel expenditures via approved corporate policy
• Update the sales team monthly with new and existing product changes
• Provide reports to Management as needed or required
• Work with Accounting on budget of department or with VP of Sales
• Work with VP of Sales or Managers to provide adequate support from Project Engineers.
• Work with customer Corporate Office or Sales team to provide solution or resolution to existing or future product.
• Provide Training to employee’s as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5-10 years of OSP Telecommunication Engineering or Construction experience required
• Must possess a thorough working knowledge of CATV, Telephone, or Fiber Optic Cable Networks or applications
• Understand Telecommunications Design
• Must be able to depict fiber colors
• Valid Passport
• Must possess strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office suite
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally to both internal and external customers
• Understanding of Opex and CapEx budgeting for department
• Must be able to create presentations and present them to colleagues and customers
• Sales experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, push and or pull up to 80 lbs
• Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward.
• Exposed to all types of weather condition
• Sit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
