On behalf of our client in Burnaby, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for a Desktop Support Analyst with our client for a 6-month contract opportunity.
Role Description:
This resource will support our client's Desktop Support team. A valid BC Driver’s license will be necessary in order to drive to our directly managed sites throughout the lower mainland on occasion.
The Desktop Support Analyst provides levels one and two technical support on our client's IT Help Desk, as well as deploys and supports desktop hardware, software, printers, telephone, and other peripherals to our client's Home Office, all Regional Offices, and Directly Managed Sites. The position rotates through various areas of responsibility, always adhering to our client's IT policies, procedures, and standards in undertaking the work.
Responsibilities:
- Provides levels one and two technical support on the IT Help Desk. Processes voice and electronically submitted help desk requests; actions tickets/requests.
- Deploys, troubleshoots, and performs regular moves/adds/changes of IT equipment such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices (iPhone and iPad), desktop phones, printers, scanners, and other peripherals, etc.
- Troubleshoots phone/fax and VPN/internet issues at site offices. Provides support for remote desktop applications to users (both office and sites), including session/profile management
Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge of PCs, printers, and all peripherals including audio/video devices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems and MS Office365 applications.
- Experience with Intune/AAD admin consoles is a bonus.
- Physical ability to lift computer equipment over 40 pounds.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills as well as communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work within a team of technical analysts and be a team player.
- Excel working under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Microsoft MCSE Certification is an asset.
- Minimum three years of progressively more complex and responsible work experience, including:
- Two years of experience supporting desktop workstations and associated peripherals.
- Two years of experience providing first-line support (help desk) to users.
