Overview

Implements, troubleshoots, and maintains server based/windows infrastructure to support company’s Information Technology/Information Services functions.

Responsibilities

• Tracks, troubleshoots and resolves server-based related issues.  Provides technical support and guidance to clients through consulting, teaching and publication of documentation.  Designs comprehensive processes and procedures to provide more efficient operations and utilization.  Analyzes equipment problems and takes corrective action.
• Engages with third-party support for server systems as needed.  Creates appropriate testing procedures and scripts for offsite recovery processes.
• May participate in the evaluation of new software packages and equipment.

• Identifies and specifies the application and/or system requirements.
• Implements and tests prototypes.
• Applies installation quality assurance tests and assures consistency with standards.
• Applies appropriate testing procedures and scripts.

Qualifications

Selection Criteria:

• 2-plus years’ working in related fields.
• Demonstrated understanding of server-based architecture and operations and interactions with mainframe and other systems.
• Proven experience with Wintel systems.
• Demonstrated Sharepoint knowledge preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Control-M preferred.
• Proven ability to work with vendor support to identify system issues and provide resolution.

Work Setting:

• This position works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings. 
• Position requires substantial movement of wrist, hands and fingers for continuous computer work.

Educational Requirements:

• Associate degree in computer science or related field or equivalent knowledge as evidenced by prior high level performance.

Computer Skills and Knowledge of Hardware & Software Required:

• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.   Must include knowledge of Excel and Word. 

Certifications & Licenses (i.e., Series 6 & 63, CPA, etc.):

• Formal certifications in one or more of the disciplines being managed considered a plus.
