Technical Illustrator creates illustrations for use in technical manuals, product specifications, maintenance documents, advertisements, and other media. Utilizes a variety of graphic files, photo images, and sketches to create detailed technical illustrations. Being a Technical Illustrator produces 3-D, cutaway, or exploded views of objects. Familiar and proficient with graphic illustration and CAD software tools. Additionally, Technical Illustrator typically requires an associate degree in art, design, or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Technical Illustrator independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. We are seeking an EIR Scientist 2 to join our East Hartford, CT team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Duties include stormwater and industrial compliance related tasks. Expected duties include:
collection of stormwater samples.
communication and coordination with municipalities.
project management including proposals and billing.
facility compliance inspections.
hazardous waste determinations.
GIS mapping and interaction.
supervision of junior staff.
clean driving record.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field.
2 year's experience in environmental compliance.
Master's degree or other certifications a plus.
Interest and/or proven experience in CT stormwater compliance.
GIS capabilities.
Environmental health & safety experience a plus.
Technical Experience:
Knowledge of CT Stormwater Permits.
Ability to prepare technical reports and interact with clients.
GIS proficiency.
Ability to work both in the field and in the office.
Other miscellaneous qualities:
Active in state and/or federal working groups a plus.
CHMM or CSP certifications a plus.
Ability to perform environmental media sampling (soil and groundwater) a plus.
Experience performing Phase I, III and III ESAs a plus.
Knowledge of Connecticut environmental regulations a plus.
