Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a
Technical Editor opportunity located at the
Savannah River Site.

Technical Editor-
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical editing and review of technical and regulatory documents prepared by EC & ACP. This is to include support with proficiency in vocabulary/grammar, sentence structure, and paragraph alignment. (support is for all aspects of document development, review, and revision). Scope typically includes acronym definition and use, proper referencing, correct sequencing and callouts of tables and figures, consistent formatting, and basic grammatical changes.
- Generate program support documents and presentation style material.
- Utilize templates, protocols and standards published in the SRS Regulatory Document
- Handbook in generation and review of regulatory and technical primary and secondary documents.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field (preferred
- Associate degree (two-year) with five (5) years of practical experience.
- High School diploma and fifteen (15) years of practical experience.
Experience/Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of technical editing and review of technical and regulatory documents.
- Demonstrated proficiency with multiple document development software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Products) programs.
- Experience in the development of business support documents and presentation material.
- Experience in understanding both internal and external customer expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to take data from multiple sources and compile into a well-structured document.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DOE operating policies, rules, and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Savannah River Site (SRS) experience.
- Reference check to evaluate performance capability may occur.
Other Job Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Background and understanding of regulatory document templates.
