Job Summary:
This role involves developing and editing technical illustrations, including creating line drawings without shading or hues, as well as material for operating manuals and related technical content in both print and electronic formats. It's important to emphasize that these technical manuals will be accessed by customers who might not have a scientific background. As a result, the illustrations you create should be easily understandable and provide effective support to the written content.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Interpret engineering drawings with CAD models or photographs to create line art/images for product installation manuals.
· Produce detailed parts breakdown illustrations using Adobe Illustrator, referencing CAD models or engineering photos.
· Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing teams to develop and update technical illustrations and documents as required.
· Select appropriate photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to accurately illustrate material.
· Organize content and complete technical illustrations and writing assignments in accordance with established standards for clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
· Engage with engineers to enhance the development and ongoing improvement of technical manuals.
· Maintain records, files, and revisions.
· Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.
