Being a Technical Communicator serves as a liaison between the manufacturer and employee on technical problems encountered by the dealership. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Technical Communicator typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Technical Communicator works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Job Description
Technical Writer
Performs technical writing and editing, ensuring adherence to documented templates and policies, as well as contractual requirements. Documents and tracks releases and updates to business processes, procedures, forms, and various technical documentation. Verifies accuracy of content and incorporates all changes. Works independently under regular guidance on non-routine tasks requiring judgement and initiative.
* Write and edit process and procedural documentation for a variety of functions
* Edit technical documentation originated by engineering
* Coordinate with various functional personnel as required to develop technical process and procedural content
* Review and approve provided documentation releases and updates
* Process approval workflows in Microsoft SharePoint
* Perform other tasks as directed by lead
* Able to efficiently work on multiple projects at once to meet deadlines
* Able to complete tasks autonomously with minimal direction
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
* Excellence in professional/technical writing, editing, and researching
* Bachelor's degree in English or related field with a minimum of 2 years of prior related work experience or Associate's degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related work experience.The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
