Teaching Assistant (College) teaches and participates in empirical (qualitative/quantitative) research within a specialized discipline/interdisciplinary field. Is enrolled in a graduate program. Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for preschool children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Assess and monitor the progress of each child's development
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to promote a positive learning environment
- Incorporate literacy education into daily activities and lessons
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of children, including those with autism or special education requirements
Experience:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is required
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and parents
- Understanding of childcare regulations and safety protocols
