POSITION: Teaching Assistant for College of Education
REPORTS TO: Administrative Coordinator to the Dean
CLASSIFICATION: PART-TIME / HOURLY
WORK HOURS: UP TO A MAXIMUM OF 10 HOURS/WEEK, MONDAY-FRIDAY, 8:00AM-4:00PM
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Required to be currently enrollment at Southeastern University in one of the
degrees within the undergraduate program
College of Education majors preferred but not required
POSITION SUMMARY:
The teaching assistant would be responsible for assisting the Chair,
a specific professor, and/or the Administrative Coordinator with administrative tasks as
well as acting as a liaison for the college.

DUTIES AND OTHER JOB-RELATED ACTIVITIES:
Up to a maximum of 10 hours per week (Monday – Friday 8am-4:00pm)

Excellent knowledge of and abilities to use APA writing style
Ability to utilize MyFire
Ability to multi-task and stay organized
Ability to work collaboratively
Assist with grading by reviewing rubrics
Assist with clerical duties as needed: printing large jobs, scanning, and copying
Provide support to faculty members: making phone calls, recording data, sending
emails, on campus errands
Event planning, participation, set up and teardown for events as needed
Other relevant duties as assigned
