Develops and implements appropriate course work, activities, and assessments. Being a Teacher Vocational Education evaluates and monitors student's performance, and helps students identify and pursue personal goals. Assesses and documents students' progress. Additionally, Teacher Vocational Education typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a state-specific vocational teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Vocational Education occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Qualifications:
Three or more years of experience and/or training in one of the building, industrial, or mechanical trades, or business or service occupation; possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency; and the ability to obtain (at the time of employment) an appropriate Temporary Authorization certificate (TAC), Initial Career Education Certificate (ICE), or Continuous Career Education Certificate (CCEC) issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
TO
Four or more years of experience as a Vocational Teacher with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System, or in a comparable teaching position in a formal vocational training program for career or technical occupations; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
OR
High School diploma or equivalency and 2 or more years of relevant experience, certification, or licenses. (Substitutions may be allowed.) AND the ability to obtain (at the time of employment) an appropriate Temporary Authorization certificate (TAC), Initial Career Education Certificate (ICE), or Continuous Career Education Certificate (CCEC) issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
