Teacher Kindergarten prepares lessons and instructs students in an assigned elementary school's kindergarten. Develops and implements activities to meet the academic, developmental, and social needs of children in kindergarten classroom setting. Being a Teacher Kindergarten monitors and guides classroom behavior. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. Additionally, Teacher Kindergarten assesses and documents students' progress. Participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Kindergarten occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. St. Ambrose Catholic School; A Notre Dame ACE Academy, is seeking applicants for the exempt position of kindergarten teacher for the 2013-1014 School year. The teacher will be responsible for teaching a full kindergarten curriculum. This position will require collaboration with other teachers in the early childhood (preschool to second grade) on a daily basis, so the ability to work with others in a team environment is required. The successful candidate will be required at minimum, a valid Arizona teaching certificate. Also required is an undergraduate degree or equivalent in Education.
