Tax Supervisor is responsible for supervising the tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance function. Supervises the completion of accurate tax returns in order to minimize the tax obligations of an organization. Being a Tax Supervisor must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Tax Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Tax Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Tax Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Duties:
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and events
- Assist with event planning and coordination
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and transcribing
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Handle customer support inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with data entry and record keeping
- Utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other software programs effectively
- Support the team with various administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other office software programs
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
