Tax Supervisor is responsible for supervising the tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance function. Supervises the completion of accurate tax returns in order to minimize the tax obligations of an organization. Being a Tax Supervisor must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Tax Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Tax Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Tax Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. To be a suitable candidate for this position you will likely have your CPA or be working towards it. You will also need review experience as you will be carrying out 70% - 100% review of tax returns including Partnerships (1065), and S and C-corps (1120), Individuals (1040).
You will have great exposure, working on multiple engagements in various industries, including Manufacturing, Government, Distribution, Real Estate, Construction, Tech, Start-Ups and more.
