Our rapidly growing tax and bookkeeping firm is currently seeking quality professional tax preparers for our Belfair and Gig Harbor offices. Desired competencies include previous tax preparation for personal and business clients. Must be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task, be highly proactive, with a strong commitment to customer service.Full time during tax season, with full-time, flexible, or part-time work schedule available thereafter. Remote work is acceptable for candidates who meet all technical requirements.Required / Preferred Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Enrolled Agent
- Minimum 2 years experience in tax preparation
- Experience in Washington State excise and sales/use tax
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft products
- Experience with Intuit tax software products
- Proficiency in Quickbooks
Business Qualifications:- Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and state/local tax authorities
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Team player and willing to take on new challenges
- High ethical standards and professionalism
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks effectively
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare corporate and/or individual client returns, adhering to quality standards
- Conduct tax research to solve client challenges and identify tax planning opportunities
- Maintain communications with clients to develop longstanding business relationships, manage expectations, and ensure deadlines are met
- Review client and in-house bookkeeping
- Advance your expertise in tax matters through continued education and research
