Tax Accountant jobs in Toledo, OH

SUMMARY

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for the review of tax returns including federal, state and local returns for domestic jurisdictions and international jurisdictions. This position will also coordinate workpapers and documentation to support return filings. The Tax Accountant will work with third party service providers and operators to communicate various tax matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare trial balances and tax workpapers in support of tax return compliance
• Respond to taxing authority notices and inquires
• Responsible for US foreign tax reporting, specifically forms 5471, 8858, and 8865
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to US foreign tax reporting
• Review and reconcile accounts
• Prepare tax returns
• Review of incremental developments/transactions
• Perform all other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience: 1-3 years of tax accounting experience in a CPA firm or in a corporate tax department is desired.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Professional certification such as CPA preferred or strong desire to pursue.

Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
