Tax Accountant jobs in Indiana

Job Summary:

The Tax Accountant will focus primarily on Federal, State, and Local Income Taxes, Tax Provision Calculations, and Oversee various Tax Audits. They will ensure the Company stays in compliance with the various State and Local jurisdictions. They will also oversee the 1099 process and tax exemption process.

Essential Job Function:

1. Tax Provision Calculations.
2. Completing and Filing of Federal, State, and Local Income Tax Returns.
3. Oversee various Tax audits (Sales & Use Tax, Income/Franchise Tax, and Property Tax).
4. Assist in Filing Property Tax Returns.
5. Assist in Filing Sales/Use Tax Returns.
6. Oversee 1099 Reporting Process.
7. Oversee the Tax Exemption Process.
8. Assist Tax/Finance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 2 years of related tax experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel required. PeopleSoft, Thomson Reuters One Source, and Sage FAS experience a plus.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to research, document findings, and make business decisions.
