Talent Management Specialist develops, implements, and administers programs that evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance. Conducts assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs. Being a Talent Management Specialist designs performance management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals. Identifies the types of training and development and resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements. Additionally, Talent Management Specialist encourages a culture of objective setting and result measurement aligned to pay and rewards using tools, training, and communication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Talent Management Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. These skills and abilities typically are acquired through a combination of experience and training, which would include a period of two or more years of training and experience in emergency response or public safety . EM Specialists are required to travel to all parts of the County and are therefore must hold a valid State of Washington Driver License.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Work is performed in office, public forum and field locations as well as attending community events or program meetings outside of normal work hours. Position will also be required to work in all types of weather conditions. May require work hours in excess of 8 hours per day. Subject to call-in or call-back. May require travel for training purposes and commute to other departments or government agencies. Observe, abide by all County and department policies, goals, and objectives. Must operate under rigorous rules and procedures. Be able to work well and complete duties under, and deadline, while attending to multiple duties simultaneously. Tolerate prolonged computer related exposure. Ability to sit for a long periods of time.
