    In general, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruitment of talent, including sourcing, attracting, selection and hiring, for one or both of the companies the department supports. This position collaborates with hiring managers to ensure a comprehensive understanding of all roles with hiring needs to ensure successful selection and retention of talent.

    This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in human resources, business administration, communications, or other business-related field, and a minimum of one year full-cycle recruiting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Also necessary is knowledge of recruitment best practices, trends and methods. Demonstrable experience working within an applicant tracking system (Jobvite experience a plus!) and performing Boolean or passive search processes is required. The ability to multi-task and balance priorities while maintaining a high level of service is necessary. The ideal candidate has worked several years in a corporate environment building relationships with hiring managers and successfully fulfilling their full-cycle recruitment needs, while consistently reviewing and identifying potential updates to processes that allow for continuous improvement and efficiency.

    Essential duties for the role are as follows:
    • Perform full-cycle recruitment activities for open requisitions, including, but not limited to: leading position scoping sessions, posting on applicant tracking system and relevant external recruitment sites, evaluating candidate qualifications, conducting interviews, scheduling and coordinating interviews for hiring leaders, and managing job offers and background check processes.
    • Develop and sustain an active network of candidates for all levels by utilizing internet, social networks, database mining, cold and warm calling, social and business websites, referrals, job/career fairs and any additional avenues.
    • Build and maintain relationships with external recruiters, colleges, universities and community organizations to create and grow talent pipeline throughout organization.
    • Maintain proactive and regular verbal and written communication with hiring managers and candidates throughout the process to keep them informed, manage the recruitment timeline and achieve performance deliverables.
    • Maintain requisition and candidate files using applicant tracking system.
    • Monitor and analyze personal recruiting metrics to ensure efforts are meeting performance standards for timeliness, quality, and productivity.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Working as a Talent Acquisition Specialist requires one to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products is necessary. This position requires proficiency in the use of a variety of computer systems. Other skills necessary include excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and accurate proofreading skills, the ability to maintain accurate records, the ability to exercise discretion with confidential information, excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to use a variety of office equipment.
