Talent Management Specialist develops, implements, and administers programs that evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance.     JOB DESCRIPTION

    Summary/Objective

    The Talent Development Specialist plays a key role in developing, reviewing, updating, measuring and facilitating training for the organization.  This position will work directly with team members and executive management on content and modification as appropriate to each department – with a primary focus in Retail Banking.  

    Essential Functions

    • Plan, organize and direct education and development programs for team members in order to increase individual and organization performance, as well as improve overall morale and engagement while enhancing team members’ skills.
    • Analyze, research and consult with executive management on the effectiveness and efficiency of current and new programs.
    • Create a positive learning climate through training facilitation: convey all learning objectives, encourage participation and build learner motivation to ensure learning outcomes are met.
    • Perform needs/gap analysis, skill assessments, and internal/external research on a regular basis.
    • Partners with supervisors and executive management to provide solutions to training and continued development.
    • Assist team members with maintaining and improving their job skills and prepare for jobs requiring greater skills.
    • Oversee the onboarding and continued development of new team members.  
    • Aid in the development and implementation of onboarding checklists. 
    • Track attendance of all learning initiatives. 
    • Manage the costs of planned programs while assessing return on investment.
    • Ensure team members keep up-to-date with the latest industry news and trends.
    • Work with external vendors to coordinate training programs. 
    • Stay abreast of contemporary adult learning and development theory and methods and effectively utilize and disseminate that applied knowledge to educate others and influence the direction of programs.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures. 
    • Exhibits interpersonal and communication skills, providing an environment of open and authentic communication.
    • Adhere to all Legence Bank and AFMFS Hoopla standards, serving as an example to other team members, as well as to our customers. 
    • Represent and promote the Company within the community.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    Travel

    Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

    Required Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Excellent Working Knowledge of Banking Operations, Policies and Procedures.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Valid Driver’s License

    Preferred Education and Experience

    1. 3 Years Current Banking Experience
    2. 5 Years Training or Education and Development Experience
