The Talent Acquisition Specialist independently performs a variety of professional-level human resource duties, primarily management of the recruitment process for IUOE, classified staff, professional staff, and faculty including the evaluation of requisition requests, position descriptions and position postings; advertising of positions; building diverse applicant pools, and coordination and training of hiring committees.

This position has been designated as a bargaining unit position represented by the Aft Professional Staff, Local 6431.Duty: Recruitment
Tasks include: - Plan, implement, and manage recruitment strategies that support establishing and maintaining a diverse workforce for administrative, exempt, classified staff, and faculty.
- Manage automated recruitment system NeoGov or like system that supports institutional recruitment to include end user training, technology enhancements, and implementation of commonly accepted recruitment measurement metrics.
- In a partnership with the Deans and AVP-EDI, develop recruiting strategies to effectively build qualified, diverse applicant pools for adjunct faculty positions.
- Provide support and service to multiple groups of stakeholders including job applicants, human resource staff, administrators, and employees throughout the college.
- Manage and promote open positions' recruitment initiatives through social media platforms in coordination with Marketing, and advertising.
- Screen applications for qualifications ? Schedule hiring committee meetings, trainings, and interviews
- Create offer letters, run background checks for permanent staff, produce weekly staffing reports, schedule interviews and committee meetings.
- Effectively build retention strategies for all employment groups with a focus on adjunct faculty.
- Develop college, university, and agencies partnerships.
- Build relationships with community resources.
- Measure staffing outcomes including appropriate reporting.
- Provide ongoing systems evaluation and assessment of opportunities/need for improvements in recruitment practices and processes - work with Assistant Director of Human Resources to design and implement strategies to implement improvements.
- Research, participate, and when applicable collaborate in local, state, and national recruitment fairs.
- Responsible for creation and update of human resources policies and procedures pertaining to recruiting and employment.
- Present training and provide guidance in regards to the hiring process, legal hiring practices, and EEOC for all types of employees, including adjunct faculty and part-time hourly employees.
- Participate in State Board of Community and Technical Colleges and statewide recruitment, diversity, and retention programs.

- Assist or support outreach and social media
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Two years of recruitment experience in higher education or five years of recruitment experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current competitive recruitment strategies.
- Experience delivering presentations to groups. Attention to detail.

Clover Park Technical College is located in Lakewood, Washington. Our college has a rich history of professional and technical education dating back to the 1940s, when Clover Park School District established a War Production program, training civilians as auto mechanics, aircraft-service mechanics, ship-fitters, welders and blueprint readers. Now, CPTC offers more than forty programs in Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing, Health Sciences, Human Services, Business, Hospitality, Science Technology, Engineering, Transportation and Trades.
