Talent Management Specialist develops, implements, and administers programs that evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance. Conducts assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs. Being a Talent Management Specialist designs performance management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals. Identifies the types of training and development and resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements. Additionally, Talent Management Specialist encourages a culture of objective setting and result measurement aligned to pay and rewards using tools, training, and communication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Talent Management Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • Job Description 

    With the rapid growth of the Navigatr Group, we are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our dynamic team to significantly impact our department’s performance. Based on experience and qualifications, this position will be assigned to execute recruitment search mandates for one of our divisions: Kensington Tours, Travel Edge, TripArc, and Ensemble, while providing support to the larger Talent Acquisition team.  You will be entrusted with an ongoing quest to identify top talent, build a strong employer brand, and ensure a great experience for both the candidate and internal hiring manager.  The ideal candidate will be organized, entrepreneurial, and creative with the ability to utilize a variety of recruitment approaches. 

    Essential Job Functions: 

    First 90 Days: 

    • Work closely with the Talent and HR leadership team to learn about the Navigatr Group of companies. 
    • Participate in on-the-job learning with experienced members of the talent team. 
    • Identify, screen, and connect with a network of candidates. 
    • Build relationship with various hiring managers and stakeholders. 
    • Execute operational task: interview coordination, offers presentation, and collaboration with HR Business Partners. 

    90 - 180 Days: 

    • Be the ambassador of our brands and share the excitement of joining the travel sales team. 
    • Identify, build, and maintain a network of candidates through a variety of sourcing methods such as headhunting and on-going relationship management, utilizing community partnerships and internal employee referral programs. 
    • Promote career opportunities through social media and networking. 
    • Contribute to the improvement of the team by sharing ideas. 

    180 Days and beyond: 

    • Help organize hiring events and participate in open houses, job fairs and career fairs. 
    • Optimize research and recruitment tools including reports, tracking and candidate analysis. 
    • Evaluate recruitment and selection criteria to ensure conformance to professional standards and best practices. 
    • Manage the existing pipelines of viable candidates for new and future job opportunities. 
    • Maintain all recruitment related scorecard / KPIs and report out on a weekly basis. 

    Qualifications: 

    • Education: University or college degree. 
    • Talent Acquisition: Previous talent acquisition experience, preferably in the travel or technologies industries using a variety of assessment/selection strategies. 
    • Stakeholder Support: Proven success in managing stakeholders' expectation and deliverables with the ability to navigate through a pivoting work environment. 
    • Work experience: Direct experience in selling travel and/or travel industry and IT/Technical recruitment experience preferred. 
    • System: Proficiency in applicant tracking system(s) and MS Office. GDS (Sabre, Amadeus, etc.) experience strongly desired. 
    • Culture: Team-oriented, low-ego, disciplined, take ownership, thrive in a fast-pace entrepreneurial environment, and has a good sense of humour.
