Talent Management Specialist develops, implements, and administers programs that evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance. Conducts assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs. Being a Talent Management Specialist designs performance management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals. Identifies the types of training and development and resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements. Additionally, Talent Management Specialist encourages a culture of objective setting and result measurement aligned to pay and rewards using tools, training, and communication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Talent Management Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     General Purpose:


    This position plays a crucial role in attracting, identifying, and hiring top-tier talent to meet the organization's staffing needs. It is responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies, sourcing candidates through various channels, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

    Essential Functions:

    • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
    • Execute talent sourcing tactics and targeted candidate attraction techniques to identify & attract passive and active candidates.
    • Utilize assessment tools to identify key achiever, behavioral, and technical competencies.
    • Conduct initial resume screenings and assessments to evaluate candidate qualifications and cultural fit.
    • Act as the main point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
    • Communicate effectively with candidates, keeping them informed of their status and providing feedback when necessary.
    • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
    • Provide guidance to hiring managers on the recruitment process, market trends, and candidate profiles.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS), keep shared documents updated with current information, and complete other administrative tasks as required.
    • Ensure smooth hand off of candidates to other internal support teams.
    • Performs other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of AVE-PLP.

    Qualifications


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


    • Ability to consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of AVE-PLP’ s Vision, Purpose, and Guiding Principles.
    • Ability to think strategically with a solutions approach.
    • Must be able to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to travel within the trade region more than 50% of the workweek with occasional overnight stays.
    • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.

    Education:


    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Agricultural related field is preferred

    Experience:


    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
    • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar recruitment role.

    Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:


    • Must have reliable transportation.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.
    • Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen is required prior to the start of employment.
