    AFM is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to handle our recruitment efforts in the Corporate office. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening and recommending candidates for positions. This person will identify opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnership with the hiring managers and identify potential fit through effective interviewing and testing, effectively administer the interviewing process and ensure a positive new hire experience. Developing and executing recruitment plans and strategies are primary responsivities to ensure hiring goals are met with the best possible talent. All activities must be in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA and other regulations, as appropriate.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Consults with hiring manager and HR team to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s).
    • Communicate regularly with HR department to get a clear view of company’s hiring needs and organizational goals
    • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
    • Continuously develop networks/partnerships to actively build a database/pipeline of candidates and the AFM company brand.
    • Recruit and perform talent acquisition actives such as resume & phone screens, candidate interviews, recommend final selection of applicants.
    • Place and update all job posting in various medias including internet/intranet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards and staffing partners.
    • Represent the company at recruiting events, providing company/job information and interviewing applicants.
    • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to promote the referral program and internal opportunities.
    • Maintain applicant tracking system, recruiting reports and other staffing administration functions as needed.
    • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
    • Checks candidates references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds.
    • Arranges meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and company managers when necessary.
    • Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
    • Design job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements
    • Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs by department
    • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
    • Generate monthly updates for company’s leadership about upcoming talent acquisition initiatives
    • Organizes company-wide management training events
    • Coordinate transition from applicant to employee - application tracking system to onboarding system
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Experience:


    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field required.
    • At least two years of human resources or related experience required

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude in conducting interviews.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other related employment laws and guidelines.
    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet, and Applicant Tracking Systems.
    • Strong customer service experience, negotiation skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the company.
    • Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
    • Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.
    • Willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight travel.
