    Job Description

    Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, and Associate Director within DAR Human Resources this role will function as the Talent Management Specialist for Central DAR staff and departments. A key focus will be supporting a culture of community with diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) as a foundation for the division. The Talent Management Specialist will collaborate with the Senior Director and Associate Director on the evolving and strategic talent management and employee lifecycle planning that enables DAR staff to fully embrace the division's core values and the University's mission.

    The Talent Management Specialist will support the University's Core HR and other University offices and centers, and Penn's School and Center HR Departments focusing on tracking employee related metrics, employee engagement, and University-wide projects (including Workday's rollout of Workday Talent). They will serve as a trusted resource and collaborative partner both internally to DAR HR and externally to all DAR, interacting and building relationships with all schools and centers hiring managers and HR departments for seamless recruiting processes and procedures within Workday as well as strategic planning processes such as pipeline building and succession planning across the DAR landscape.

    This role will also provide manager coaching and guidance before, during and after the recruitment process. The Talent Management Specialist will maintain confidentiality, professionalism and accountability at all times and provide a high level of customer service. They will participate in Alumni Weekend and Homecoming (whether in-person or virtually) and be visible at DAR events representing HR as a key player in support of the organization's mission.

    Targeted Pay Range: $55,000 - $70,000
    This Targeted Pay Range is only applicable to this job posting. All salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and job profile.

    Responsibilities/Duties:
    Work towards forming and maintaining relationships with partners involved in the employee life cycle within the Schools and Centers supported by DAR HR
    Collaborate with team members to support the strategic planning of DAR via building internal and external talent pipelines and succession planning across the DAR landscape
    Responsible for gathering and analyzing data to generate metrics and trends that will help inform initiatives to improve the employee lifecycle (candidate and hiring manager net promoter score, employee turnover, time to fill ratio, etc.)
    Guide hiring managers as well as new hires with direct reports through internal hiring best practices such as: developing diverse candidate pools, ensuring DEIB recruitment strategies are present in all searches, confirming appropriate and commensurate salary ranges, documenting the interview process sufficiently
    Act as point of contact during onboarding process as talent management resource for new hires within DAR, especially for new hires who are also hiring managers
    Support University-wide projects and initiatives such as Workday Talent and Workday Learning by attending meetings and training sessions as well as serving as a change agent to disseminate the updates with DAR and its internal clients
    Become a go-to resource with HRIS system, Workday.
    Become comfortable with external candidate sourcing by leveraging resources like LinkedIn.
    Perform additional duties as assigned

    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree and minimum 3-5 years related experience in customer focused roles required; or equivalent education and experience combined.
    Ability to shift between and bridge tactical operations and strategic planning in the Talent Management employee lifecycle.
    Ability to think outside the box and evaluate current processes, staff needs, HR interventions to identify continuous improvement opportunities in building and sustaining high performing teams in DAR.
    Ability to proactively build relationships to build trust both internally and externally with diverse staff and departments across the University.
    Strong track record in employee relations, coaching and consulting in a people/customer focused environment highly desirable; as is previous experience or exposure to training, DEIB, recruitment and compensation.
    Ability and desire to stay abreast of changing HR trends, technology, and best practices across the employee life cycle and share information proactively.
    Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, working effectively with staff at all levels in the organization.
    Expert MS Office (especially Excel) skills in addition to HRIS experience required.
