SUMMARY: The Assistant Distribution Manager will support the Distribution Manager in overseeing the warehouse office and staff, taking responsibility for maintaining proper safety procedures, proper maintenance of the facility and equipment, and ensuring that we accurately distribute quality building materials on a predictable schedule that fulfills our customer’s needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (not limited to)
AN ASSITANT DISTRIBUTION MANAGER WILL POSSESS AND DEMONSTRATE:
Education / Experience:
· Associates or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Management, or Finance. Or equivalent combination of education and experience
· 5 to 10 years manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience
· 3 to 5 years manufacturing or warehouse leadership and supervisory experience
· Logistics and transportation management experience to support a fleet of tractor/trailers preferred but not required
· Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMSCA) rules and guidelines preferred but not required
Working Demands / Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
· Ability to stand/bend/walk for long periods of time
· Ability to work flexible shifts to support training objectives
