Talent Management Manager manages the development, implementation, and administration of programs that evaluate, measure, enhance and improve employee performance. Utilizes assessments to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs. Being a Talent Management Manager leads the design of performance management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals. Establishes cross-functional synergies that provide training and development resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements. Additionally, Talent Management Manager champions a culture of objective setting and result measurement aligned to pay and rewards using tools, training, and communication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Talent Management Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Talent Management Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     SUMMARY: This position impacts strategic initiatives across the talent lifecycle of Arvest associates. It is responsible for the design, development and delivery of leadership and talent development strategies, programs, and processes to assure a broad, deep and diverse pipeline of talent. The incumbent ensures we are identifying and developing the skills and capabilities at all levels to support the growth and transformation of our organization.

    In addition, the incumbent works with management and executives to influence, advise, and offer guidance on talent development programs to ensure future bench strength for Arvest’s key leadership populations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Designs, implements and manages existing and new talent management process(s) for Arvest overall and for each executive’s line of responsibility.
    • Identifies, develops, delivers and oversees leadership development initiatives to enhance movement of associates across the organization. This includes blended learning approaches such as coaching, classroom training, action learning and e-learning, as well as customized programs.
    • Partners with HR, key stakeholders and executives to understand current and future business challenges to recommend high impact talent and leadership development / training solutions.
    • Supports strategic Arvest initiatives throughout the talent lifecycle including succession planning, talent reviews, engagement, performance management and diversity & inclusion.
    • Designs and implements proactive communication and change management plans to ensure initiatives are well executed.
    • Develops strategies which evaluate associate potential and support emerging talent. Lead division-wide and regional talent programs, processes, and/or leadership training and development initiatives.
    • Supports local banks and shared services functions in talent reviews and succession planning for consistency and GAP analysis.
    • Analyzes program effectiveness and recommends continuous improvement methods based on key metrics and ROI.
    • Proactively engages in external research and knowledge sharing to stay current on talent and leadership development trends and best practices that align with current Arvest business goals.
    • Coordinates all tasks related to design and implementation of talent development programs and leadership development training curriculum. May include 360 feedback and/or other assessment debriefs, annual strategic development planning for new and existing associates, and identification and implementation of measures to ensure programs’ effectiveness.
    • Develops and manages budgets related to assigned programs, including program content, travel and related expenses and all other associated program costs.
    • Researches and establishes relationships with relevant external vendors, partnering as needed to customize content.
    • Identifies and manages vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, compliance with terms of contract and annual review of vendor suitability.
    • Keeps current with industry standards and research regarding talent management and leadership development and recommend best practices.
    • Understands and complies with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    May supervise other associates as necessary. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensures direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (e.g., HR management, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Education, etc.) or equivalent work experience required.
    • 5 years of experience in organizational development or 5 years of experience in design, development and delivery of companywide leadership training for all levels of leadership required.
    • 5 years of experience in successfully leading a workgroup, including remote leadership.
    • Project management experience required.
    • Excellent communication and facilitation skills required.
    • 5 years of experience in a corporate or business setting preferred.
    • Experience working with various developmental assessments preferred.

    REQUIRED JOB SKILLS :

    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Proven organization and analytical skills and experience measuring ROI of programs and trainings.
    • Must be comfortable leading programs, processes and training at all levels of the organization including with executives.
    • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills including Excel.
    • Extensive experience effectively managing multiple tasks and changing priorities in a complex business environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
