Position Title: Director of Curriculum and Talent Development
FLSA: Exempt Professional
Reports to: Superintendent
Terms of Employment: 12-month employee. Work days according to board approved school calendar
Qualifications:
- Master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership or comparable studies
- 3 - 5 years as a school administator
- Track record of instructional improvement to include improved student academic growth and student proficiency
- NC School Administrators License preferred

Essential Job Functions
Curriculum
- Supports Directors of Instruction in the teacher evaluation process
- Plan, coordinate, and prepare curriculum purchases for approval
- Conducts curriculum audits as needed to identify new and necessary curriculum and instructional tools
- Convene campus and school based leaders to engage, support, and disseminate instructional information
- Support Directors of Instruction in building the daily schedule to optimize student learning, support remediation and enrichment, and exposure to core curriculum enhancing student interests
- Provide feedback to Directors of Instruction, teachers, and instructional coaches
- Monitor and analyze data and make informed decisions towards increased proficiency and growth for each scholar
- Oversee the implementation of PLCs for effectiveness
- Support Directors of Instruction in teacher duty schedule to support safety, scholar and teacher well-being
- Lead the coordination of curriculum events, i.e. Curriculum Nights, RtA Night, etc.
- Establish community partners in support of the instructional vision
- Collaborate with the appropriate personnel in support of the instructional vision
- Coordinate with the appropriate personnel to ensure staff instructional needs are met
- Lead in the development of the RMP calendars (academic, assessment and professional development)
- Serve as the PSU Test Coordinator
- Lead the campus in MTSS and School Improvement Coordination and Implementation
- Lead the coordination of Curriculum enhancing opportunities to include but not be limited to Summer School
- Serve as District Director for AVID and support AVID Site Team in ensuring the successful implementation of AVID
- Support instuctional and curriulum matters in the absence of the Superintendent
- Support teachers with digital programs access and account usage
Talent Development
- Coordinate professional development activities for the campus and support the coordination of professional development for the divisions
- Provide oversight, accountability and support for the implementation of instructional coaching models and instructional strategies (i.e Get Better Faster, Teach Like a Champion, etc.)
- Model and coach teachers in the implementation of feedback
- Model and coach Directors of Instruction and instructional coaches in providing feedback
- Collaborate with Director of Human Resources and Directors of Instruction on Teacher Recruitment efforts
- Actively engage colleges of education and teacher development agencies in support of increasing teacher applications for Rocky Mount Prep
- Represent and communicate vision to perspective teacher and school administrative positions at Rocky Mount Prep
- Screen potential teacher candidates for interviews

- Lead in a way that supports capacity building, efficacy, and mastery of the craft
- Develop systems and routines for the efficient implementation of the school initiatives
- Collaborate with the necessary personnel to ensure systems and processes are carried out with fidelity
- Be available as needed to host and support evening activities
