New Paradigm For Education (NPFE) is a non-profit Charter Management Organization (CMO) composed of educational practitioners, community advocates, and business leaders who have dedicated years of service to children. We specialize in maximizing student learning potential through proven education practices and managing all phases of school design, planning, and program implementation. NPFE is on a mission to ensure that all students in Detroit achieve at the highest levels, supporting educational transformation through increased student achievement, fiscal responsibility, and community support.
What You’ll Do
New Paradigm For Education seeks a self-motivated Director of Talent Innovationwith a track record of success in school recruitment, who is fueled by our mission that all students in Michigan will achieve at the highest levels. This person will plan and execute a strong talent recruitment strategy that focuses on implementing best practices from across the NPFE network. Reporting directly to NPFE’s Chief of Staff & Strategy, the Director of Talent Innovation will build rich and diverse talent pipelines, manage the selection process, and support NPFE with onboarding and retaining top talent throughout the school year. Ultimately, the Director of Talent Innovation will lead NPFE’s charge to recruit highly effective, diverse educators and to ensure that our network is fully staffed each year.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 8 years of working experience (required)
- Track record of achieving exceptional results in prior role(s) (required)
- Prior experience with talent recruitment, hiring, and/or teacher development in a school or district setting (required)
- Past experience working as an educator (highly preferred)
Duties & Responsibilities
DATA TRACKING, SOURCING & CULTIVATION
- Track metrics related to recruitment, lead generation, cultivation, and selection
- Manage systems to track contacts made through cultivation, selection progress to date, and the next steps
- Develop and execute strong one-on-one cultivation meetings with prospects that lead to clear next steps
- Lead the network’s referral program, including developing investing staff, and follow through with referral engagement
- Develop and execute social media strategy for talent recruitment
- Support, execute, and refine strategic national and local outreach, including but not limited to partnerships with transition to teaching programs, HBCUs, and partner organizations
- Develop and execute internal and external talent recruitment events, including school tours, hiring fairs, information sessions at colleges/universities, etc.
- Identify and manage marketing of new jobs on a variety of job boards and sites
HIRING, SELECTION, MATRICULATION & RETENTION
- Develop and refine selection processes and materials for open roles
- Manage the selection process for all open roles, including application reviews, phone interviews, final interviews, and offer process
- Build relationships with applicants, remaining in contact with them throughout the selection process
- Develop a vision for the matriculation process and support execution to ensure hires are ready to start on the first day of school, including collaboration with school leaders and Human Resources
- Ensure all incoming teachers are certified (or are on a path to certification) by developing expertise in Michigan certification requirements
- Design and lead initiatives to support employee engagement, wellness, and retention
- Design, plan and execute the annual contract process (creation and dissemination) for all network employees in line with the organizational timeline
