The Opportunity:

As Director, Influencer and Talent Relations, you will be responsible for ensuring that Sephora’s social media content and activations are famous for inspired creator partnerships and ensuring that the Sephora brand is an additive voice in celebrating brand moments and cultural happenings.

The role will be a key leader within Sephora’s Social Media, Influencer Marketing and Video teams, reporting to the VP, Social Media. Additionally, you will partner with other Marketing teams to bring thought leadership to the always-evolving influencer marketing landscape. You will also work with cross-functional leadership outside of Marketing on an enterprise-wide influencer/talent relations strategy. Although there are clear deliverables for this role on day one, some of the scope of the role is open to be fully defined – and that’s what makes it even more exciting!

In this role you must be a world-class creative and strategic thinker with a passion for developing talent strategies both externally and internally. Working with external and internal creators, you will partner with them on building up their Sephora presence and relationship with our clients and social media community. You will cultivate and nurture authentic relationships with key talent and integrate them into overall brand priorities.

Additionally, you will partner closely with influencer campaign leads on Sephora’s Social Media teams to bring innovative ideas to content creation. This includes support of Sephora’s social media campaigns, product announcements, content initiatives, events and talent participation.

The role is ultimately responsible for harnessing the power of creators to help tell Sephora’s story through the building of long-term relationships with influencers and creators. You will establish yourself as a critical resource and company-wide counsel in best practices for people-led storytelling in partnership with influencers and creators and continue Sephora’s renowned innovation in this space.
 

You could be the perfect fit if you have:

• 8 years of influencer marketing, social media and or talent relations experience – experience in consumer lifestyle, retail or beauty is a plus
• Proven track record of working with high-profile talent and an already developed network of talent relationships (and talented people) that you could begin engaging with on day one
• People leadership experience working brand or agency side in a highly cross-functional or matrixed organization with a high degree of collaboration in a process-driven environment
• Ability to flex from strategic brainstorming to hands-on execution of activations, with an understanding how the little things are also often the big things
• Excitement for learning, open to new experiences and challenges in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for management and team development and know-how in building out a new team #LI-SCR

The annual base salary range for this position is $157,000.00 - $190,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
