    Job Description

    The Global Talent Management team creates the insights, strategies & practices required to unlock the full potential of our teams and talent, and ensure we have the leadership needed for the future of Visa. This role is for an emerging leader who is motivated by high visibility work that impacts how our people continuously develop and perform to high standards in order to achieve Visa’s organizational strategy and ongoing success.

    The Director of Performance Development will play a strategic role designing solutions that drive High Performance and growth at Visa. This role reports to the Senior Director of Performance Development and is an integral role on the Global Talent Management team (CoE).

    With a focus on strategic thinking, collaboration, data-driven insights, and stakeholder engagement, you will ensure that our performance management, development planning, and promotions practices align seamlessly with our organizational objectives, positioning Visa with a high performing workforce and strong people leadership practice.

    As a deep expert in Talent Management, you will be responsible for crafting strategies, processes, frameworks and practical tools for managers and employees to drive better performance and development conversations and outcomes. . With a strong focus on manager effectiveness, you will plays a critical role in cultivating a workforce at Visa that excels in the fast-paced fintech environment.

    Essential Functions:

    • You’ll take a ‘client-first approach’ and enjoy working in a consultative way with key stakeholders across the People Team and business to integrate relevant talent practices and new initiatives seamlessly across the employee lifecycle.
    • You will be accountable for developing, leading and monitoring a variety of Visa’s performance management and development processes, ensuring leaders and employees are clear on the philosophy, purpose, process, tools and expectations for our enterprise talent cycle.
    • Lead enhancements and implementation of targeted programs and processes (e.g. OKRs, Quarterly Conversations, stakeholder feedback, Annual Review, expanded role promotions) that will enhance the impact and growth of employees across Visa.
    • Partnering with People Analytics you’ll define the key actions and metrics to increase accountability and measure progress. You’ll also utilize storytelling techniques to present data in a compelling manner, influencing decision-making at all levels of the organization.
    • In partnership with the Employee Experience and Visa University team, drive a comprehensive manager effectiveness strategy, inclusive of a new “manager success survey” and development programs and ensure it is fully integrated into our Performance Management process.
    • Staying current on industry trends, best practices, and innovations in talent and performance technologies is what sets you aside from others. You will be expected to seek out opportunities to drive the automation of talent processes in partnership with People Systems team to create efficiencies and ensure they are executed with excellence.
    • Finally, your passion for continuous learning, diversity, equity, and inclusion will be evident in your leadership, communication and delivery, championing Visa’s culture and growth as an organization.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 8-10 years of relevant experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD) preferred. 4 years of deep talent management and succession experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strategic Planning: The capacity to develop and implement talent management strategies that align with the organization's objectives.

     

    • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively influence at all levels of the organization.

     

    • ·Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data and use it to inform talent management decisions.

     

    • Change Management: The skill to manage organizational change and ensure smooth transitions during periods of transformation.

     

    • Experience: prior experience from a global organization in the Global Talent Management COE, with strong knowledge of and deep functional expertise of talent management practices

     

    • Personal attributes: Self-directed, process-oriented with strong business acumen and ability to manage multiple priorities. You’ll be pragmatic, adaptive and agile in your thinking and way of working.

    Additional Information

    Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

    Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

    U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,900.00 to 181,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
