Systems Engineering Director oversees the department responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Provides leadership to the team and ensures the requirements of the projects/contracts are met. Being a Systems Engineering Director ensures that hardware and/or software are designed and installed in a manner that meets the needs of the organization. Evaluates, designs and develops existing reports/documents for the performance of the systems. Additionally, Systems Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Systems Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Systems Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Primary Duty
The primary duty of this position is to develop, test, and deploy applications, firmware and device drivers using C, C , and/or Python as part of a larger team responsible for the development of embedded systems.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach or mentor for other positions in the department.
