The mission of Lake Junaluska is to be a place of Christian hospitality where lives are transformed through renewal of soul, mind and body.
Supports lodging operations by serving as systems support liaison between Sales, Front Desk, Reservations, Recreation, Revenue Management and IT teams.
Aid in the implementation of revenue management tactics, i.e. rate/packages creation and modification, yields, rate hurdles, etc.
Data entry pertaining to leisure, program, and group reservations/stays.
Regularly review reservation/booking systems that are in place at Lake Junaluska to find opportunities for improvement and implement steps to improve those processes.
Provide support to Reservations and Welcome Center team members as needed. i.e. answer reservations phone calls/cover the front desk.
Create occasional/routine reports and measurement tools for operational data.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and required.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and report any unsafe activities or conditions immediately to supervisor or the Human Resources department.
Must comply with all Lake Junaluska Human Resource policies and procedures.
Must possess excellent hospitality skills and a strong desire to foster an attitude of Christian hospitality to exceed guest expectations.
A combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business and a minimum of 1- 4 years relevant experience in Business Operations.
Hospitality experience strongly desired.
Must have demonstrated good communication skills, client relation skills, and a commitment to providing responsive and conscientious customer service.
Must be detail oriented with knowledge of a wide variety of software systems, word processing and spreadsheet applications, prefer Microsoft Suite.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs, multiple tasks, demands and work structures.
The ability to proactively and retroactively solve problems related to data systems, billing, guest experience, etc.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, emails, and memos.
Ability to effectively present job-related information upon request to customers, clients, and employees of the organization.
Advanced computer skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills is required.
Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of customer, clients and employee questions.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formats.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
Light to moderate physical activity performing non-strenuous administrative type work.
Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation with quiet to moderate noise.
Physical demands: able to lift up to 25 pounds, manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items.
Manual dexterity to perceive attributes of objects and materials.
Climb, balance, stoop, kneel; frequently moves about, able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
At times, be outdoors in all weather conditions.
Vision: must be able to see close, have good vision to perform daily duties
Standard Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
Nights, weekend, holiday, OT as required.
